Master Bath Retreat
A dated master bath is turned into a modern spa-like retreat
The Challenge
Our clients new town home still had its original bathroom. The long, narrow bathroom featured a double vanity that ran its entire length. This accentuated the long and narrow proportions of the bathroom, and the wall to wall mirror further emphasized the length. They wanted the cabinetry to feel more like furniture, and requested a warm, spa-like space to complement the rest of their home.
The Solution
Our solution was to break up the length of the room to shift the proportions of this bathroom. Tall cerused White Oak storage cabinets flank the custom vanity, which floats off the floor to emphasize the width of the room. Pendants are suspended from the very tall ceiling to draw your eye downwards. The shower features a recessed shampoo niche with a contrasting tile to break up the height of the room.
