The Challenge

impractical, not to mention sorely dated. Since our client already had a bathtub in the guest bathroom, and she never used the tub in her master bath, it was taking up valuable space. For the guest bathroom, the bones were there, but it was also sorely dated. It only needed a bit of updating and a few personal touches.

The Solution

In the master bath, out came the tub and in went a double shower. The old shower stall was converted to additional storage space which now incorporates the laundry hamper and back-lit glass shelving above. Statuary marble tiles are a dramatic contrast to the grey porcelain floor tiles, and a recessed shampoo niche is highlighted with a marble mosaic. A subtle textured wallcovering adds interest to the remaining walls. In the guest bath, new furniture and fixtures supply a welcoming update. New tile, paint, and textured wallcovering create additional sophistication to complete the remodel of the guest bath.
