We are thrilled to announce that we are now the Chicago distributor for the Australian based Florence Broadhurst fabrics and wallpapers.
Florence Broadhurst was a flamboyant designer from the 60’s and 70’s, who revolutionized wallpaper by abandoning the conventional method of mass production. Her designs were hand-printed instead on transparent mylars, foils, and metallic papers. She was well traveled, which reflected in her creation of hundreds of unique designs that ranged from Oriental to Classic English nature.
“Vigorous designs for modern living”–Florence Broadhurst
The original silk screens were rediscovered decades after her death and today Signature Prints is reprinting the Florence Broadhurst collection using these screens and reinterpreting the colors for the 21st century. The designs are now also being offered on fabric, ranging from printed designs on cotton/polyester blends to commercial-grade woven jacquards.
