We offer a variety of window treatment options for your home, including roller shades, Roman shades, and a variety of drapery styles. With manual, motorized, and smart home options, we will help you find the best solution for your needs.

Roman Shades
Urban Source can create Roman Shades in a variety of styles and a myriad of fabrics. From shimmery sheers to blackout shades with fun geometric patterns to calming textures and weaves.
Roller Shades
Whether it's a solar shade for sun or glare control, a simple blackout roller shade for a good night's sleep, decorative weaves or a fun fabric to complete your room, we've got you covered!
Specialty Products
We carry a variety of unique window treatment styles such as metal draperies, transitional shades, woven shades and shutters. Sourcing specialty hardware and manufacturing methods is our specialty.

Virtual Consultation
We're offering complementary e-consultations with our window treatment designer to help you navigate through options! We’ll conduct the meeting on Zoom so that we can get a sense of your space. In addition, we would like you to send us some information ahead of time, so that we can make the most of our meeting.

Pictures of the windows + some overall room shots (so we can see what we're working with)
Floor plan (if you have one)
Window measurements (see details below)

In Showroom Consultation
We invite you to come to our showroom to meet with one of our designers so that we can create the perfect solution for you. We’ll review window treatment options best suited to your needs, as well as fabrics and finishes. You’ll be able to borrow samples to take home to look at in your home.

Pictures of your windows + some overall room shots (so we can see what we’re working with)
Floor plan (if you have one)
Window measurements (see details below)
Materials/finishes you are working with in the room

In Home
If you live in the Chicago area and would prefer to have one of our designers come to your home, we offer in-home fee-based window treatment consultations. To make the most of our meeting, we’d like to gather some information about your needs ahead of time so that we can bring the appropriate fabric and product samples.
What we'll need:
Pictures of the windows + some overall room shots (so we can see what we're working with)
Any inspirational images of styles you love (feel free to share your Pinterest or Houzz board with us, or email us pictures).

Chicago Metro
1 hour consultation = $145
Chicago Suburbs
1 hour consultation = $195
PREPARING FOR YOUR MEETING
There are a number of things you should consider prior to your first custom drapery meeting. We’ll help you along the process, but you should bring a few things to your meeting to help start the process.
For example, we’ll need your window measurements and wall measurements, pictures of the window and the room, and any swatches or pictures of other design elements in your room that will need to coordinate with your drapery fabric. We also encourage you to bring in inspiration images of things that you like!
CONSIDERATIONS
During our meeting, we’ll want to accomplish the following tasks:
Define Purpose: Decorative, functional (day time or night time privacy, light blocking, insulation, etc…).
Determine Budget: We carry many different products which vary greatly in price. if you tell us what you’re comfortable spending. we’ll guide you towards a solution that will fit your budget.
Design Aesthetic of all Involved: We strongly recommend coming in with your partner for a window treatment consultation, so that we can consider everyone’s design aesthetic.
Time Frame: Roller Shades can take 2 to 3 weeks to order, but custom drapery can take 8 to 10 weeks during busy periods. So if you have a deadline you’re working towards, please do not delay in coming to us!
PRO-TIP: WHEN TAKING PICTURES OF YOUR WINDOWS
Windows are sometimes hard to photograph due to glare. It’s best to avoid times when direct sunlight in streaming through your windows, or at night. Try taking the photos from a slight angle to avoid over-exposure.
